pesce and pasta

Nothing makes me happier than a nice talk with friends and loved ones. that's one thing money can't buy.

was playing around with photoshop and turns out the 3 pictures I shot of each blogger rummaging through their bags could be stitched together - except for the little blurry part on carrisa's bag. carrisa . patricia . talisha (just realized that their names rhyme !)

The internet is just like the ocean. It's humongous, and no one knows what's in it completely. As it grows bigger each day, we still don't have a way to control what goes on. Earlier today, one of my blog friend received an anonymous comment saying that she's fat and ugly.  I understand people's right in voicing out their opinions. However, no one has the right to call a girl (and even boys) fat and ugly. We bloggers are NOT models. We're not all anorexic, size 0, and we're not proffesionals. Humans come in different shapes and sizes. I agree that our physical structure matters, but what matters most is what's inside you. Nothing beats a girl/boy who has a warm and friendly heart. I don't want to sound like a consultant. But what IF someone else you don't even know calls you fat and ugly ? What if your friends are all supermodels but they only call when they need help and they never respond when you need their help? I have no idea if the writer of the anonymous commenter is reading this, but if you are, WAKE UP HUMAN ! If you're brave enough to express your thoughts, then don't write anonymously. TYPE WITH PRIDE ! Unless you show some courage anytime soon, I'll give you a little nickname for now : CHICKEN.

*sorry for the little rambling at the end. i just thought i need to get that disturbing thought out of my head (and probably my friend's too)*

Cropped in the Act

six of the 1000++ photos I shot today at kota tua along with carissa and hana . i was more than pleased with the results of the whole shoot (and i think carissa and hana are happy with their photos too!). I'll edit the rest when I have the time to do so. I'm starting on my final thesis, so updates will slow down for August - December [I wish I could blog as my thesis project..] Special thanks to the models Dhea and Shirley and to Ayu for the makeup work ! If my driver was reading this, I'd thank him for walking around with us for hours to ward off some high school creepers that were following us in a stupid fashion..

infocus

more photos from my singapore trip [mostly food porns i guess.. lol].. i wish i could go back to singapore. its one of my favorite country/city in the world ! my outfit shots were retaken in jakarta because the ones in spore had my figure out-of-focus whlie the backgorund was in focus. maybe i should invest in another point and shoot camera for those type of moments. im currently loving the new canon S95 !

"dinobank" i remember one time my dad unscrewed her tummy because we needed extra change to pay for mcdonalds delivery at midnight.

craving for a macro lens to capture all sorts of lovely food porns :D

this was in Jones Grocer at the Mandarin Gallery . i love the easy atmosphere alot . i went there for a couple times during the trip when I need to give my feet (..and wallet) a break from hardcore walking.

you feel like you're in japan when you visit this japanese goodie store, Nippon-ya at Ion . I grabbed boxes of mochis and candies [my fave is the green tea ones] to bring home.

Concrete Jungle

due to my travelling schedule, i did not have the time to post and edit the photos I took at the Mango Fashion Fusion event 2 Saturdays ago. some of you might have seen previews of similar posts from Diana Rikasari or Heidy Kalalo, but here I am posting my own shots. Lucky I took the plunge to tote around my camera backstage. Managed to capture some great moments with Diana & Heidy !

Honestly I didn't feel like we were competing at all ! Three of us had SUPER fun putting together the looks [okay I did have some stressful moments when I had to give some explanation about the styling infront of the judges - which I sorta screwed up due to nervous breakdown and my REALLY bad sore throat] .. I guess the "competition" was more of a way to express our own style and interpretation of fall's trend. I'm pretty sure that me, Heidy, and Diana would wear any of the looks we put together for the models. :)

once again, thank you Anita and the Mango team for a wonderful experience !
