Perfectly Pink

quick posting for monday. wore this on Saturday for a birthday party. As always, my outfits go back to a simple state when it comes to weekends. I save all the layers for weekdays :) I had to rush through the photos because I was running REALLY late.
I'm loving all the dusty pink pieces I can find for this season. I was a baby pink girl back when I was 12 and now I'm revisiting those times by loving this grown up version of pink! Currently looking for a nice pale dusty pink bag :) Balenciaga has got one but the size is too small for my needs. I'm the type that has to sacrifice alot when it comes to wearing tiny purse/clutches.

best bargained shoes ever.. bought it off my friend for only 100 bucks..

i've been going back to my sunglasses days because I cant be bothered to put on makeup. (1) its sooooo hot that I just want my face to "breathe" (2) im always late, so I save time by doing makeup in the car -not when im driving of course- (3) sunglasses add a punch of style anyway, so who gives :P

I'm so glad its weekend again. Its getting harder for me to blog on a daily basis. I try to blog whenever I have the time to do so now. I got my top at the last Brightspot Market. I actually almost forgot about it until I saw this again in between my tank top piles.

Thanks so much for the nice feedbacks in my previous post ! for questions asked..those pictures are taken using a tripod and self timer remote. my camera details are in the FAQ page (link is below the header). The picture with the bokeh (circle things) can be done by viewing this video tutorial.

Did a little photo session yesterday while the afternoon sun peaked into the bedroom window. I always loved the yellow and orange tone a sunset gives. its just one of those effets where you cant replicate in Photoshop flawlessly. *ps* most of these photos weren't editted much anyway! wearing mom's Christian Lacroix knit cardigan with la senza camisole and marks and spencer floral shorts. I thought the frilly add ons that may look so-carrie-bradshaw was the perfect add on for the more slinky satin pieces.

I dont wanna ramble too much about my workload. So I'm just gonna share some good news with you all :) If you're following my twitter, I guess you would have known that I managed to get into Elle Espana's Around the World with 60 Blogs feature ! I didn't know that I got in it ! No emails or anything ! So I was pretty surprised when I was browsing the feature and I found out I was on the 6th page :) So thank you ELLE ! :)

Many thanks to CHICTOPIA who choose my "Military Band" look as the twitter style of the day ! Having my looks being put into the style gallery is happy enough, but being chosen as Twitter Style Pick, is simply *woah*.. [okay I might be exaggerating, but I guess this happens for everyone who's just having their "first" moments]

and last but not least, I also won the "Most Favorite Star Blogger" L'Oreal competition! I'd like to congratulate The Versicle for landing the "Best Visual Blog" winner! It's been a really happy Tuesday for me :) Got soooo many amazing news in one single day !

quick post before jet off to bed. I've been slightly un-updated with blogs, busy yesterday AND today. and here I am smidging in a little outfit post for you lovely readers :) these pictures were taken by my old kit lens. my camera feels unbelievably much lighter when I changed back to the old lens. haha

anyway, I finally got a replacement for my 50mm lens.. I got the exact same one (except that the UV filter is different now..lol) I'm now jumping into the lens-collector bandwagon. Ever since I owned a DSLR, I started looking at different lens and now I have like a whole list of lens I want to have. Next up on my list is the EF 100mm f/2.8L macro lens and the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 wide angle lens.

Vignentation

some mini updates on a lovely thursday :) taken for my cotton ink webstore blog story as well :) if you're thinking why I'm wearing the same stuff over and over it's because the feature is a "10 Item 10 ways" sort of post..
tried some new ways of taking my photos at the time. I rarely use the flash when I take photos, but at the time, I gave up because the lighting was way to dark for a nice low-shutter-speed photo. Now I'm thinking of getting an external flash for my dslr :) but first, im getting my 50mm lens replaced probably tommorow :) :) and I'll be photographing my boyfriend's sister's baby shower on Saturday :) excited and nervous at the same time..

Nothing Birthday Related

today's is nothing birthday related except for the fact that I posted this on my birthday ! I'll save the rambling for the end of the post..

i love how i have different shades of pinks altogether in one look :)
one of my lower height heels.. lol
just realized the buttons on the blazer match the marbled bangles ! mom told me she had this blazer from the 80s :| it still had these funny shoulder pads in it..

firstly, I'd like to thank the many tweets and emails I received on my birthday today. I'm finally legal now (and I need to update my profile) and I'm very much happy to have blog friends like you all :)

That's the yeah part, the booo part (you'd know if you followed my twitter): well, my beloved 50mm lens broke (the lens I use mostly for my portrait shots) I'm on my way of a replacement. I was thinking of getting a different lens replacement, but after doing alot of research, I guess nothing beats the 50mm f/1.4 lens I had (except if I wanted the 85mm though, but the focal length was too long).



there's my beloved lens :( i couldn't even unscrew the filter attached to it !

Neptune

i took these pictures awhile ago for my Cotton Ink "Blog Story" article. It was really great feeling when Carline contacted me  and asked to contribute an article for their newly opened webstore. I took 9 sets of photos (each with different outfits). So for the next couple of posts, I'll probably post the extra photos up that aren't included in the article. Feel free to read the article and check out Cotton Ink's Spring/Summer collection too in the link above though !

people have been asking whether or not I would wear these outfits (in the article) in real life, and the answer is YES DEFINITELY. id never post something up that I woulnd't wear.

Also many asked, where's wishdrobe and does the boutique has a web. The answer is NO there's no online shop of Wishdrobe. and the boutique is located in Centro Metro Broadway, Pantai Indah Kapuk (Next to KFC and Happy Puppy karaoke).. It's open Mon-Sat, 10-7pm (not too sure about the time there.. but I guess that's about right)..
