two day sale

this is my 300th post by the way! i still remembered my 100th post I had a year back :) anyway, I joined the blogger's yard sale again last weekend. After 3 or 4 times of absence, I'm back on the selling bandwagon.. This time it was a two-day event..hence more tiring and more work, but still fun with lots of my blogger friends around ! I was too tired to take photos of my outfit, so that'll probably be posted in my future post (if i'm not too lazy to re-dress myself for photos). I'm writing this post at 2 in the morning, so I'll just skip to the pictures :)

makeover thursday with fimela

one of the best days I've had so far in 2011 ! so nice meeting the superb people at the photoshoot :) I can't post all of the pics I took on the day, but here's a little smidge of the wonderful day I had.

my job on the day was to style someone I was assigned. and I got Nadya. She's a real sweetheart and pretty girl. I couldn't be any happier to have such a lovely respondent like her ! :)

technically fashionable

two things I'd like to show you today. first is the new Hermès scarf. I've always thought Hermès scarves were very formal and old-lady-like..but after seeing J'aime Mon Carre, I totally changed my mind. Turns out they were just as fun as McQueen skull scarves. Mine has this oriental/japanese-inspired balls all over it and it's got pretty all of my favorite colors in one square. definitely a love at first sight item. now i'm planning to collect more of these silky beauties.. and maybe pass them down to my daughters/grand-daughters in the future? ;)

NEXT . is my new netbook courtesy of Gateway Indonesia! Most girls have a bad relationship with gadgets, but that doesn't apply to me. I love trying out new gizmos. There's something fun playing around with them for me. I was really happy when Dita, a rep from Gateway, offered me this LT Series laptop. The 10inch size and  800grams weight is perfect for travelling and for girls who hate carrying weight around. Bonus: the battery lasts for ages (8 hours to be exact) *hooorrayy for no carrying cables*



most netbooks don't come with a really good display but this Gateway LT25 has a fabulous one. Crisp & vibrant colors ensures precise photo editting for a photoshop-geek like me. The keyboard & mouse was top notch as well. my fingers didn't get that crammed up feeling I dislike. a little webcam is a great final touch to keep intact via Skype when travelling :)


there's a dedicated scrolling section in the mouse pad which enables you to scroll without dragging your finger up & down [helpful for those loooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggg web pages].. I also loved the SD-Card slot! I no longer have to bring my memory card reader when I need to transfer photos now. lightweight & functional is my summary of this device...

velvet

never knew bathtubs were fun to squish in and to take photos in it.. had a few slips during the photo sessions (which resulted some "blue spots" in several parts of my body), but it was still a good way to kill my insomnia.. i got this dress from Coal and Terry Vintage.. it's a really nice velvet boydcon with sheer sleeves and neck area. the first word that jumps into my head was "gothic" somehow. so i played up the mood with the combat boots i got from christmas.

something called love

some of have heard, and most of you havent. but these pictures kinda represent the state I'll drowning into quite soon. Moreno & Axioo are two of my favorite wedding photographers. Moreno is very timeless, classic, and sophisticated whereas Axioo is more fun, modern, and quirky. In the next few months, I will need to make a hell lot of important decisions. I think I need to hunt for a 2011 planner (this is something odd because I always buy planners way before the year starts).

Anyway, I'm pretty busy but I'm super happy that today, I got myself a NETBOOK courtesy of Gateway Indonesia. Pictures & reviews coming up soon ! I've always wanted a netbook (for those who don't know what a netbook is, it's basically one of those small 10" laptops) so that I can reduce bulk from carrying my heavy 15" one on a daily basis. I'm very sure that this little machine will come in handy for my travel plans this year. Feel free to follow my twitter on how this nifty laptop comes in play in my daily life :)

good afternoon

not sure if i can post something up along this week so I'm updating this blog while I can. Got so many things to do! sun is not only good to look at, but it also does wonders for photographers.. how else are you gonna get those lovely flares and glowing edges on the tiniest strands of hair if it werent for the sun? :)

Polkadot Pants

polkadots is not something i often wear, especially in large doses. these pants from Charlotte's Closet pantshave spots in the nicest size. Tiny from a distance, but large enough to be seen by the human eye. I'm not a big of those large clownish polkadots, I only like them when I see models wearing it on Vogue.. Paired the pants with a more feminine top from Max Mara, and finished the look with my favorite everyday clutch.

ps. dont you love the occasional blue skies of jakarta? i do.. :) makes photos look HEAPS better
