Primary Colors

was getting bored of monochromatic outfit. so i wore something more vibrant. and what better way to break up my usual color combos other than wearing all three primary colors (that's red, yellow, and blue if you don't know..) ?

Club Monaco double breasted jacket, Mitchybelle longer-back top, unbranded tights, random bangles, Tod's Navy Flats (yes I'm wearing flats!)
not too sure if the look suits me.. but this is my style blog and one of the purpose is to explore the different things that work for me . so I'm open to your critiques and comments :)
I really love the ruched back details very much ! just as I was posting this up, I've just realized that I forgot to take the picture of the shoes and accessories..
many of you asked in the previous post what DSLR I got. I got the Canon EOS 500D with the standard 18-55mm lenses. before i close up this post, I'd like to share you a few shots I've done using my new camera :D it's harder to operate than I thought. but I hope I'm getting better at it !

my boyfriend took this shot of Simba :D Not a bad angle for a first timer.. I just tweaked some of the colors on photoshop to make the tonality look better..

YEEEHHAAA I'M BACK !

YAY FINALLY A NEW POST :D I'm just as excited because I can finally update my little blog again. I missed this crazy but fun fashion community sooo much !

first, I wanted to share some good and bad news.. so bad news first : I dropped my favorite Canon Ixus into the fish pond and it broke. I was gonna take photos after I set my tripod up and I left it to grab my stuff inside the house. Turns out when I propped the tripod up, it wasn't well balanced. So *Splash* it took a plunge into the pond. Even fish ran away...
these set of photos were the last few ones I took on the camera.. luckily the memory card didnt screw up so I got the chance to import my memories into the computer first..
and good news : I'm out of school ! 2 week holiday and I'll back in for lectures though.. but it gives a nice time to catch up with all the comments from you lovely readers.. and there's also another good news, but I'll save it for the end of the post :D

I'd also like to say thank you to those who read (or even watched the nasty video..) the previous post regarding animal furs. It really is sad that animals are tortured like that so that people could wear fur ?!!?! That's just pathetic and inhumane. But I was glad to read the comments from you that you guys are supportive of the PETA movement. It really means alot if more bloggers could spread this word so that more people are aware of where and how fur actually comes from..

*changing topic* so here's the other good news.. I got my first Canon DSLR to replace my old cam :D i know i sound sorta stupid for being over-excited. But I really am very happy to own a DSLR now. I've started snapping pics but it's not that good yet.. gotta search some YouTube tutorials to help me out..

or perhaps some of you can assist me ? I'm having trouble setting up the macro mode.. the auto macro mode ALWAYS pops out that nasty flash.. *sigh..

Something to Think About..

This morning, while I don't have any classes. My boyfriend showed me this video of dogs having their fur taken out in China. I was totally shocked and sad when I played the video as the Chinese were so cruel to the animals! It really taught me to be careful when buying real animal fur products. I'm not an anti-fur person, I'm definitely anti-animal-cruelty. So next time you're buying that gorgeous fur vest, think twice before you hit the cashier.

brightspot market

finally got the time to update my blog (well not really actually..typing up this post while I'm in my uber boring budget planning class) . it's been a week since the last time i updated and even after today, the only time I can post another post up is next Friday :( so be patient with the posts and comment replies. I promise I will reply those comments ASAP !

wore my favorite Cotton Ink Grey Melange to the bazaar as an asymmetrical mini dress. this is what i truly love about cotton ink, can find gazillion of ways to wear it without getting bored. ps* check out their newly updated blog shop layout ! you'll defo want to buy something from there !

that's a better view of the assymetrical feature..worn with Bebe pleated skirt underneath, unbranded belt, Topshop tights, Miu Miu peep toes.

this is my favorite 'shocking colored' tights ever ! i actually wore these to my first and last school formals.

Chanel Paris Biaritz bag (not sure about the Biaritz spelling there and far too lazy to search up on Google..), bracelets from Bali, Moselle, Forever21 and Topshop. The ring I got on the J-Town bazaar i posted up 2 posts ago..

i love the "candid" picture on the left with my lebay forehead.. wouldnt consider it candid much I told Ayu to actually the picture while I was pretending to be busy.. the ciggies on the right arent mine but ayu's.. but i love the lighting in this picture..

this lovely spaghetti ala vongole (fancy version of spaghetti with clams) was Ayu's meal at Potato Head. Wasn't too good, but we had no other place to sit at when we arrived earlier on 11..

the food names at capocaccia was so complicated that i couldnt remember it. this one was SUPERB and it had pork (yes i love pork ham ! and it's very hard to find a good one here in Indo) some brie cheese and my favorite, truffle oil ;)

had some Matcha Anmitsu at Aji Tei .


lastly (or finally if you've been tired reading this long multi-topic-ed blog post..) kak Prita from Nefertiti Jewels sent me a package with these 2 lovely headbands in it :D sorry for the super late post on this kak Prita !

i think the pig is rocking the headbands better than I am.
I was bored of wearing headbands as headbands, so I decided to go MJ and put em on a fedora.. added a matching lipstick (yes i know that rule where you shouldn't match your makeup with your clothes..but who gives anyway)
okay one more last thing ! i swear this is the last of the last..

here's my purchase from the Brightspot Market . 5 of em are Cotton ink stuff ! and 1 is from Nikidee . I can't wait to wear all of these babies ! sorry for the fuzzy image, i took this late at night with my blackberry.. heeeee..

Blanc et Noir

I'm actually waiting for my time to present my projects while I'm creating this post. Since I don't have anything to do I thought I'd put something up on my blog. I actually wore this like a couple weeks ago but I never got the chance to edit the photos up. Amazingly, I have not taken ANY outfit shots during this busy week. I've been wearing skinny jeans and all sorts of white tops for my classes. So pardon me for the lack of updates. I just need to finish this semester and I'll be officially free from the burden of college work (which happens in 2.5 weeks) !

the picture came out blurry but I enhanced the dreamy by adding a yellow-ish tone and some lighting flares..

this clock has been with my me since I was born ! it's still ticking today..
