Red Raindrops

Jakarta showers.. My favorite weather for sleeping and staying at home.. It does become a pain in the ass when I'm trying to get from place to place as rain causes massive traffic here (I blame people drive 20km/h at the highway.. and I also blame the motorcycles who pack like 1/2 of the road under bridges which makes it impossible for cars to go through! i understand the fact that you need some shelter, but please find another place that wont disturb others. Hey we all pay road taxes ! )

Anyhow, I managed to snap some shots when i reached home when the rain stopped. I got a nice 40mins to do the photos (yes that's how long I need to take a couple of good shots).. After that, my mom already went home, so I had to continue the photos inside my room as I HATE it when people stare at my photo sessions..

I just heard that Canon is coming out with an EOS 550D. I was just about to buy the 500D, but now that this model is being released next month, maybe I'll give it some thought on buying the new model anyway. Why buy old one when new one is coming out right? What do you think?

Sticky Construction

So lately I've been very busy with this Visual Presentation project of mine I will be showing you in this post as well. I had to make a display based on a movie (in this case, UP) to showcase some fashion products. It involves a whole lot of skills including photoshop (which i'm mostly incharge of), climbing stairs (well not really a skill, but it does burns calories), jabbing some wood, and sticky business with super glue and duct tape !

had to take these extra shots in total dark cus I reached home at 8 already.. I though the scheme sorta matched my outfit though.. I just boosted up the exposure on Photoshop a bit..

Sorry I can't blog at a regular basis these days . I'll try to snap some pictures of the final result of our project up there :D it's very hard to get a good shot cus the glass creates a glare..

Here's my entry answer:
I wanna win this badly because the city slicker edgy look is one of my favorite trends for this season. Stripes are definitely in and I could totally wear that top at least 3x a week. It can be preppy with a boyfriend blazer but it's also edgy when paired with that leather skirt! I'm also an avid fan of leather jacket. They seriously jazz up the simplest outfits. Just take a look at model's streetstyle. Every other model seems to be wearing a leather jacket over their loose t-shirts and they look effortlessly chic. I currently have 3 but I'd like more in my wardrobe ! This studded version would be a great addition. and let's not forget the shoes ! They are to die for ! They're sorta like replicas of Alexander Wang's SS10 collection. Everything in this lookbook are pieces that are a dream for me. Couldn't think of a better collection for this spring ! Now i'm praying that I will win :D

My weekend highlights : AKA Food ! The Nanny's Pavillion has finally opened in Jakarta ! Those who aren't familiar, this cafe serves delicious simple comfort food such as pasta, baked rices, and of course PANCAKES ! it tastes sooooooo good (their specialty is the Blueberry Cheese one)!

I Failed College because I'm Lacy

What do you do when your contacts rip and you're left with chunky glasses? simple really, put together a pretty geek girl look ! well, its more like simple to say but hard to master. But that was the situation I was having on Wednesday.
Half way through driving to school my eyes itched. I pulled over, and found out my contacts broke. So had to change to my glasses (which I've never done in the past 5 years in public) and actually work those glasses as part of the look instead of making the specs as an alien.
Verdict ? add cute but elegant accessories like the bow hairpin and pearl necklace (winded into bracelet) and tackle those quizzes ala Blair Waldorf + Ribbony Boo.

while the photos were taken in the other room .. i digged through the closet in there (which contains the whole family's party-special occasion & memorable clothes..) and i found my Zara pea coat I wore to China in 2007 ! So i decided to change up and try the look with the pea coat. what do you think ? which look do you like better?

i feel more japanese-esque with the pea coat. while the blazer made me feel more parisian chic.



i hope you've enjoyed these series of photos ! I tried this dreamy effect on photoshop to reflect the dreamy feel of the skirt by the way :D
there's just endless possibilities of editting photos on photoshop ! i originally had 5 editting ideas for this photo set ! but i decided on this one anyway.. I think i'll probably do a photoshop tutorial when I have time since alot of people have been asking.. Can anyone recommend me a free software that can record the movements on my computer screen ?
