august and september were two amazing months for me. I just wanted to put together a little (.. or maybe a large image-loaded) recap post of my posts from those 61 days. Also included some photos that never made it to the blog here :) It's been a loooooonnggg and tiring (..but productive) monday for me, as much as I want to write some thoughts that has been going on in my head, my brain constantly tells me to "get a break" - before I end up sick again. Have a blessed October everyone !

Black Swan (Sorta..)
a couple of new things I'm in love : first is my tutu skirt from Club Couture. The Singapore-based webstore gave me this and some other things (which I'll show you later on). Do check their site out as they've got lots nice pieces at a price that won't break you bank. Unlike alot of tutu skirts, these are actually wearable for daily life. yes they're pretty short, but you can wear tights or wear cycling shorts like I did here to prevent any upskirts :)
paired them with a simple black tank top and a headband I bought in paris a couple years back..
club-couture tutu skirt, american apparel tank top
if you're wondering the other thing im in love... it's my new lighting set that I've used for these pictures ! They're not pro studio kits, but they're pretty awesome for trying out shadow-plays - as I like to call it.

double double toil and trouble
the last batch of my photo hunt in the graveyard in december with my pals diana, michelle, hana, fhenny, and ayu. if you're pretty new to my blog, then here's the post with the other set of outfits I put together for the photoshoot. Nowadays, I like being behind the lens more than being infront. I just wish I have some person that I can shoot for on a daily basis (like pauline darley for louise - miss pandora).
ps: dont forget to come to the blogger yard sale this friday at mazee, fx sudirman ! I'll be there from 3 till 8 or 9pm :)

cargos and corsets
outfit details : wishdrobe blazer, agent provocateur corset, 7 for all mankind twill pants, armani exchange chain loaded belt, random jewelry, jimmy choo heels.
photography by Hana Tindjau, processed by myself
the last series of the photo session i did with Hana like 5 months ago. Haven't got the chance to actually edit them until now. I wish my body is still like the one shown in these pictures. I'm currently 5kgs heavier than I was at that moment. getting fit is one of my resolutions in 2011 ! but i find it really hard to keep up as there's too much good food around me. With all the pressure and stress pounding on me, I cant seem to afford to go on a diet. anyway, enough with my weight issues. Feel free to check out the other photos from this photo series if you havent ! click here or here or here.
If you're plus size, you might want to check out www.onestopplus.co.uk/ where they have a fab range of dresses, lingerie, footwear and much more for the curvier ladies.

continuation from my last post. I hope you enjoy these photos :) I still have one more batch to edit and post.. but I'll probably do that after the holidays. I do hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones whether it's friends or family or even both. 2010 is closing up soon, and I feel like doing a word post in the next couple of days to reflect my year. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season !

universe
I couldn't have been happier when I received this simple but stunning dress in my mailbox from one of my favorite local designers, Nina Nikicio. I've always loved her minimalist approach towards fashion. Her basic line, NN:02, is like Indonesia's own T by Alexander Wang while her latest Mixté collection is a blend of city sleek with slight hints of grunge. These photo sets were actually inspired by Nikicio's Project 04 Paper Dresses (yes you read that right.. a dress made out of paper), the re-turn dress had this sunset photo printed on it, so I thought, why not try the universe instead of just the sun on the black dress and dark hair of mine?

Demure
not to brag or anything, but one of the best things I like about myself is that I can dress in different styles depending on my mood or the occasion. This time I decided to dress the way I used to dress the whole time (yup my style was very classic and elegant before I started exploring different styles via fashion blogging) before I started blogging. This would also be the type of outfit my mom would wear. Embellished A-line skirts, feminine blouses, and a great pair of dainty femme soles. I used to tell my mom how much I hated her pointed shoes (i called them "genie" shoes back then), and now I sorta "ate my own words" because I love pointed shoes thanks to Prada & Louis Vuitton.
This was also the first time I started experimenting with my new external flash. I would have never guessed that a tiny flash device could change my photos drastically. I'm currently saving up to get one of those wireless triggers so I can place the flash in a spot where my photos would be "creatively" lit up. Thinking of taking some photographer courses after I graduate to fiddle more on lighting. Up to this point, my lighting source has always been the sun or bulbs.
---IMAGE LOADED POST !---
Laura Ashley top, See by Chloe gold skirt, mom's vintage Prada pointed shoes, mom's floppy hat.
I'll start to write my camera settings and kit for every photo post now as I'm getting alot of questions about the camera. these were all shot using sigma 30mm at f/1.4, ISO 200, and I forgot to note the shutter speed (I think they were about 1/5sec)
I'm soooo glad that I've finished my midterm exams. They were totally dreadful and they were bad for my blog updates (..and my undereye circles). Good thing is that I think I did pretty okay in them. I don't care much about the grades, but it's the effort that counts for me. What matters is that I tried my very best. Good thing that all of my college nightmare will be over by December. I can't wait to put my graduation cap anytime soon ! I missed mine during high school because I didn't finish my IB programme and went ahead for college with my GCSE results. anyway, i got really personal today because I just feel like it. I feel like my blog has been missing alot of diary like entries these days. perhaps I should write more about my personal life ? yes no ? :)
you're still welcomed to ask questions for my q&a posts ! I've received great ones over the past week and im looking forward for more :)
