DOUBLE VOLUME
I may not have fashion week anywhere on my agenda (except for checking style.com's app before bed), but my schedule for september is already looking pretty crazy. With no assistant, I'm resorting back to my good old tripod and remote days. These photos were taken after a whole day of errands. Therefore, please mind the tired face..

GARDENS
I'm sad to admit that this is one of the last sets of photos that my assistant, Christy, captured for me. After almost a year being my PA, she'll be leaving out of the country to continue her studies. I wish her the best of luck !
Of course, since I am currently assistant-less for the moment (my new one doesn't work until next week), I am a little behind with my outfit photos and a pile of other blog-related work. Nevertheless, I'm excited to share today's post because one : I loved the way the photos turned out. two : it was a good 2nd day hair. three : loved my pink detachable peplum pencil skirt !

LEOPARD & DENIM
Before I say anything else, I'd like to wish a Happy *belated* Eid Mubarak to those celebrates. May you all be blessed by Allah abundantly.
I've been half-spoiled by the Ramadhan holidays in my country. Why half you ask? First, my blog isn't getting much attention lately.. Next, I've got deadlines right infront of the ridge of my nose.. But it's a holiday and I felt like I needed a break.. Then there comes the unexpected visits from friends and family..the next thing you know that you're having a great time and it's already midnight (aka. no work been done).. And that's what has been happening for the past 3-4 days.
By all means, I'm in a stuck state ofwanting forcing myself to get work done while trying to relax at the same time..
Oh well, at least I get to cheat on my calorie allowance! Traffic free Jakarta means that I'm on a roll for trying out new restaurants that are not on my phonebook. I'll try to get some reviews up on the blog but you can also follow me on instagram (@mkoesnadi) for some real time updates..

EYELETS
How ironic can it be that I spend most of my days infront of the same laptop I use to blog yet I always feel that I don't have time to blog.. Once again, schedule has been hectic .. Loads of photos waiting to be edited (sometimes I shall thank some clients who take really long when it comes to choosing the photos).. Loads of emails waiting the inbox.. Sleepless nights.. Yeah you get it.. This is an outfit from weeks ago that hasn't quite made it on the blog..

PINK LINEN
I had this ridiculous nickname only my aunt knows back during my high school days, and that nickname has to do with my love for pink back then. Until this day, that nickname still horrifies me (nop! won't share it here..) to an extent that I rarely buy anything pink (dusty/peachy pinks are an exception). One of those rare pink purchases was this linen dress from Stitch n Co. Somehow the nipped waist and slight bubble cut bottom half makes me feel ladylike instead of well, Barbie.

SUMMER LAYERS
I remember enjoying the wet season a couple months because I could wear layers and dark clothing without suffering from humidity and heat. Now that the sun shines, I am rather motivated to bring the colored and breezy pieces out. Multiple nude pieces thrown together can be considered as my 'uniform' for the past month. and due to that, I was happy that I got this chiffon peach (perfect color to throw amongst nudes) outerwear from Cotton Ink. I wore the draped jacket as a kimono top to vary it a bit. photos by Christy

DARK FLORALS
I always have a hard time when questions like "What is your favorite brand/designer" pop out during interviews. It's not that I don't have favorites but it's more like having too much likes. Of course, there's always the big names like Chanel and Balenciaga but there are also new designers coming on the radar. And one of the ways I discover them is not from twitter facebook or the news. But from shopping.
Online shopping to be precise. I love going through multi brand webstores like DO NOT BREAK for a quick shop for myself or clients. And most times, I would discover new brands I love. This time, while I was introduced to new lines, I was also able to tick one item off my wishlist : the relaxed printed pants.

GOLDEN LIGHT
I always feel weird when I'm out wearing maxiskirts. I look in the mirror and I feel taller, but then I go out and I feel weird again.. And throughout the day when I see a glance of my reflection somewhere, I feel nice and tall again. I don't know. Maybe it's because throughout my entire life, jeans and gowns are the only long-length pieces I'm accustomed with..

BLAZER COAT
Amazed at how I managed to pick three Zara items to be worn at the same time for my work attire. I've been rather bored with my blazers lately so I tried playing around new ways on how to wear them. and still speaking of the high neck obsession that grew on me, I propped up my lapels for a coat-ish effect from the jacket.

MARGIELA
I think I've grown an obssesion towards anything high neck let it be turtlenecks or victorian collars or even these bizzare Margiela dresses. I came across these humongous and amazing pieces from their Fall 2008 runway collection as I was googling on hair-in-turtleneck picture references.

FAUX BOB
It's always nice when you return to your 'comfort zone' pieces (that's a mixture of cotton, knits, and leather for me) every once in a while. I am also obsessed with tucking hair ends, and fluffing them up into turtlenecks. I managed to create that faux bob effect in the first picture. All I need is the winter weather now..

MONOGRAM
When it comes to monograms, I guess that there's nothing more iconic than Louis Vuitton's "LV" logo. I remember that Speedy was the Birkin of the year 2000. So popular that replicas were sold literally on every corner of the globe (like those random street sellers in Paris & Milan who fled when police came)..
I admit that I admired those monograms for a time but when everyone was carrying them, I got tired. I stashed my monogram bags to the back of my closet until recently I felt like taking one of them out for a walk. I added the faux foxtail I purchased off ebay to give the purse a fresh feel..

STUCK IN 50s
polkadots and mid length skirts.. Not the usual cup of tea you see in my blog, but the thing is that I've been sandwhich-ed with old photos from the 50s. and the longer I stare at those pictures, the more I wanted my own longer length a-line skirt. I browse online like I usually do and I'm glad that Vobee had this pretty bright blue version in stock.

OUTRAGEOUS NEON
As mentioned in my old post, I've always been the dark colored nail girl. It's either the no polish, neutral lot, or dark for me and nothing in between. Well that policy changed when I saw opi's blinding mini packs. Turns out they give out the right amount of perk to any summer outfit.

KNIT OVERALLS
one thought in my mind for the week : TRAFFIC WAS HORRID. I'm currently tired and all I want to do right now is to read some books and magazines I've bought (but I can't since I still have my client's photos to edit). And so, I am leaving you with this post for tonight. and if you're wondering, yes this is how the overly curled hair looked after sleeping and countless finger combing I regularly do.

MID JULY
Some (okay..maybe a lot of) sugar rush was exactly what I needed after all the hectic stuff I've gone through! Also finally managed to sneak in a hair appointment. I loved my new blunt-er haircut.. but my favorite guy who usually blows out my hair afterwards wasn't available at the time and the new girl I got didn't quite understand my messy approach to hair styling.. Oh well, at least the too curly curls looked nice the next 2 days...

MYKONOS
Today's post is inspired by an island.. I rarely share how I get my dressing inspirations, but architecture and places are definitely one of them. Lately, I have been hooked on Pinterest. Whenever I go through my waiting moments (ie. traffic, late clients, restaurants, more traffic).. Pinterest is the first thing that comes into my mind.. And thanks to the many pins on the Greek island, Mykonos... I can't help but build an outfit from the inspiration set !

JUMPER
I am so glad that there was a holiday on Wednesday. I needed to catch up on a lot of emails and I just got the right amount of time to create this friday post. I have been wearing a lot of skirts lately. Not only because of the ventilation it gives from the bottom but it seems that my girly cues from my teen days are coming back (in a good way).

JEWEL STACKS
When it comes to the "more is more" policy in fashion, stacks of necklaces seem to work much better on me than arm parties do. I haven't really developed my collection of statement necklaces and so, I tend to mix and match with whatever I already own (it's a good way to get more mileage out of your purchases by the way!)
One of the easiest piece to mix and match are my necklaces from Tea Label. They're simple.. pretty enough to hang around one's neck alone.. yet just as stunning when combined with other pieces. I played around with Tea Label's pieces from their new collection "Morning Coffee" and here's what I came up with!

DUO DENIM
Ahoy Friday !! I've been eating so much lately that I keep wearing loose clothes to cover up the little ab bump. This denim top has definitely made itself into my favorite list. I bought it in large to get the extra flow of fabric and the off shoulder thing. Paired it with more denim that I've half DIY-ed. It's 'half' because it had slight rips on it but I keep scorching the fabric with a blade to make the rips bigger :P off for dinner now! have a nice weekend and DONT FORGET TO ENTER THE $100 VOUCHER GIVEAWAY HERE
