rewinding

ive been sick all weekend. I did feel better on saturday, but went out at night, and so the fever came back again. these photos were shot during the week right before I headed for class. white shirt and light washed denim is one of my "uniforms" when I cant be bothered to pick something out in the morning. These bowler shoes were a gift from the lovely owner of Wondershoe. I love them sooooooo much ! they're so comfy that I can treat them like my running shoes. its also a good way to rest my legs from high heels every now and then in a stylish way :)

BEAUTY

 how is ur hair so amazing and volumized and healthy?
*thanks* hmm my hair care is very basic . I use either herbal essences or l'oreal for my shampoo. then I have this korean hair tonic thing to keep my hair intact with the scalp. and that's it ! one tip I can give is, USE LESS HOT TOOLS ! definitely made my hair better :) some natural texture is great too.

What's the brand and shade of the black lipstick you wore in the "Midnight Media" post?

what is your skin care routine?
I swear by SK-II products. They make my face glow even on 3 hour sleeps. I switch to NuSkin's Clear Action toner and creams when I get my occasional break outs.

What's your favorite makeup products?
Benefit Erase Paste (for undereye circles), Makeup store Eazy Cover in Red for red blotches, iD Bare Minerals foundation and powders, MAC Blush in Peaches (universally flattering for ALL skin tones), Chanel Iminitable mascara (best waterproof mascara ever and very good for stubby straight asian lashes).

Have you ever thought of doing a beauty blog one day? I've seen some fashion bloggers doing beauty posts, vice versa. I'm actually interested in seeing you posting one.
YES OF COURSE :) i'll definitely do this when I have the time to prepare one.

How do you stay fit?
I try my best to go to the gym at least 2x a week, eat healthy, and drink lots of water. I eat alot of vegetables and high fiber foods (fiber one makes the best cereals). and I rarely "drink" calories (ie. fruit juices, sodas, etc) except for Starbucks :P I always go for skim milk though..

FOOD

i have a penchant for japanese delicacies.. they make great tasting sweets & chocolates, but in low calorie.. genius

what's your fave resto/cafe to hang out, chill, and talk with friends in jkt?
Tough one.. Probably either pepenero (cheap and good), cork and screw, or just even the cliche Starbucks :) also love the atmosphere of the new place, Pesto at Thamrin 9 Podium. The pasta is pretty good there..

What's your favorite food?
I could make a 100 page list with this.. haha.. I like anything really, just as long as it's not too spicy. The most spicy food I can eat are like those instant noodles spicy level :) my favorite foods are Japanese and Italian. I'm a sucker for noodle, pasta, and sushi rice !

What's your favorite ice cream?
Gelare's Banana Walnut, Dermaga Cafe's Bailey's ice cream, Baskin Robins mint chocolate chip, Cream & Fudge Cookie Dough, and Haagez Daasz Green Tea :D

Favorite drink at Starbucks?
Green Tea Latte, java chip frappucino, and toffee nut latte in Christmas season :)

Where are you from?
I'm from Indonesia (Jakarta specifically).. and I'm a Chinese decesdant

How old are you?
18 this year... (the cake photo was from my 18th birthday)

Where do u live and what college do you attend?
I get this question alot. and this is a very private issue for me.

What will you do after you graduate? Seems like you graduate at such a young age.
I want to pursue my interest in photography and fashion furthermore. I've taken several freelance photo jobs and I really love doing that ! I don't even feel it's like work to me. To be paid, or not paid, I don't mind about that at the moment. I care about the valuable experience I get. I don't like the idea of learning in a classroom. I don't think textbooks and lectures are that important as your work experience.

What is ur dream job?
any kind of freelance work. I hate going to the office (especially when I have to battle Jakarta traffic). It'd be nice if I could become a photographer or one of those full time bloggers, who just blog for a living :)

Do you think you classify yourself as a fashion blogger? Or are you more of a lifestyle blogger?
I guess I'm more of a fashion blogger as my blog content is very fashion related. But I do give a smidge of my own life to my readers because a to me, a blog is like an online diary :)

Do you have any siblings? If yes, a brother or sister? and if not, how do you feel when you're lonely?
I'm an only child. The truth is I never feel lonely. I'm such a busy body ever since I'm a kid. I had all sorts of lessons from piano, violin, organ, drum, drawing, dance, wushu (some chinese martial art thing), and more.. So I never felt bored or anything. I'm always occupied with things I can do :)

Besides fashion, photography, and food, what other things captured your interest?
nothing much. I had soooo many things I was interested back when I was little, and I'm trying to narrow them down so I can really focus on the things I like.

how do you think the fashion in Indonesia nowadays?
I think it's going through a big phase at the moment. Indie brands, Jakarta Fashion Week more "out there", the Brightspot Market, etc. I'm happy that fashion is now something that can be considered as a "valid job" whereas before, people think fashion is just a hobby for dumb girls who like clothes. To those people who still think that, they should try learning Fashion Business or Fashion Design, and they'll know what the industry is really like.

what is the quality you like most about yourself?
I'm a hard-worker, I don't give up until I reach my targets, and I stand up for my believes. I also love that I can sorta blend in with alot of people groups (or maybe I should be thankful for being a Gemini for that quality? ;)

that's me when I was in 9th grade (about 4 years ago..) with my friend and the french teacher from NJIS.. considering of going back to those heavy bang days..

which school did u go in high school?
I spent most of my school life at North Jakarta International School (klp Gading), and I "completed" my school duties at The British International School (in which I only spend a year and a half before moving on to college)
