ELLE Style Awards

I'm still filled with joy as I'm writing this post on a cloudy Saturday. Last night I went to the ELLE Style Awards the Citadines Quartier. As some of you might have known from my twitter, I received the title as "Blogger of the Year". Yes.. blogger of the year (sorry if I'm boasting too much).. That was the good news that I was talking about in my recent post. I was excited when I saw the email from Anggita in my JUNK folder (another reason why you should clean all email folders once in a while!).. The whole night was fun although I had to leave earlier due to some things. But overally, I had a great time, and I loved the clean white rooms at Citadines :) Plus they have a nice mini kitchen as well..

the weather has been unbelievably hot in Jakarta (just like any other countries, except for those down under) and I haven't got my chance to put on the shorts + stockings combo after a long time. I put them on this time only because I knew that I will be in air-conditioned rooms for the whole day.. I really wish that I have winter, but not one of those -20 celcius winters.. 5 degrees is probably good for me :) have an awesome Easter Sunday everyone (if you celebrate it of course)!

going for the gold

it's been awhile since the last time I put on proper makeup. if you're one of my twitter follower, a few weeks ago I went for makeup shopping to replace my ancient makeup kit. god knows how much bacteria is lurking in there :S the next morning, I played with the palettes before going for daily errands, and since I had a few moments, I decided to take photos. figured light smokey eyes would work with  this blue Sober Denim boyfriend style shirt and pile of gold jewelry. finished the look with a bright yellow clutch and beige leather shorts.

A Touch of Velvet

When I say the word "velvet"? What do you picture? I don't know about you but to me, the word reminds me of all things luxurious, glamourous, and most times, expensive. However, lately I realized that velvet can also be something chic, poise, but not necessarily budget-breaking. That's when this local brand called Velvet comes in. if you think leather = tough. think again. This Adam Leather Skirt is the opposite of tough. I'd pair it with the white top and carry their Hendstridge envelope bag as a clutch for a day look.


if you want to give colors a try, pair this Jaden mustard yellow blouse with Monet brown shorts. this yellow is vibrant enough, but not too vibrant that it might make you self concious. still too bright? wear it with the Sharonne cardigan im wearing !
