Voiceless

one of the best fridays in 2011 in 14 pictures. I spent about 5 hours with michelle h, carrisa, and fhenny while carol was with me for 12 hours. we started off at social house and had desserts at Magnum cafe. When the other have gone home, me and carol head off to Ocha and Bella to meet up with my guy's uni-friends. The next I think I knew was that my throat had started to act up from the non-stop talking. luckily my foot wasn't in pain at all or else a sore throat + blistered feet wouldn't be a good way to begin my weekend. I hope you all have had an awesome weekend !

this lovely chiffon top was from WE ARE RUBBISH. last time they sent me velvet leggings, and this time I opted for a more feminine piece. paired it with my fave red jeans from Denim by Victoria Beckham, YSL heart-printed purse, and my trusty beatrix ong nude pumps. They go with just about everything in my wardrobe and they're very comfy for long walks.

Standing on a Glass

As most of you know, I've made a good friends with my dear tripod as "he's" always the one who holds the camera for my blog photos. I've always wanted to take a photo in the middle of this particular road at a specific time of the day. But then no one is ever available to help out and taking a tripod to a middle of the road is never a good idea unless you want to be hit by a car. Finally, my friend was heading to the same direction as this location so we decided to stop and take quick photos. as you can see, I didn't even bother going right into the center of the road. I tell you.. crossing roads in Jakarta is not like crossing any other road. you feel like cars are about to hit you at any moment.

THE wedges. apart from the lanvins from last week, these are becoming by go-to-shoes for the moment. the more you wear them, the comfier they get. thanks to hana for bringing them over for me...

AFTERNOON TEA

Last week on Tuesday I spent my day shooting & styling for Tea Label's newest collection, Fabric Refined. Like what the name suggests, many of the pieces for the season incorporate different kinds of fabrics such linen and tulle. Of course, no Tea Label collection would've been complete without pearls. This time, I'm ecstatic to see not only the white ones, but also gold ones. Jointed in a bunch, the gold baubbled necklace instantly became my favorite. Now, instead of you reading this text, maybe it's better if you check the lookbook for yourself. Here are my favorite shots :

Despite the unbearable temperature, stinging mosquitos, grasshoppers and other insects (and even frogs actually..), we managed to stay put and finished the day with a smiley face :). ARMOR ARM

cool colors on one of the hottest days I've experienced here in jakarta. the more I see Celine's minimalism, the more I love it (and Zara does a great job of making an affordable high-street version of it). I have a similar skirt from the spanish brand in green as well. I liked the cut alot, so I decided to get another one in cobalt blue a couple weeks ago. Paired it with this lovely bright green pocket top from velvet, add another color (yellow) and I'm off for my Monday.

I found another way to utilize my scarves. I purposely put them inside a bag and have the ends hang loosely. I quite like the effect. How about you? :D

sour love

One of the most common questions I get from interviews is "what got you into blogging?". Well, firstly, I was inspired. I have been reading blogs for about 5years until now and I still remember those days when I open Style Bubble every night despite the dumb dial-up connection I had (sounds stone-age-ish right?). Fast forward 3 years later, I discovered local blogs. One of them belonged to this long-legged lady aka Caroline. Back then, she had a blog called "The Sour Cherry". I remember that she had this really short haircut that I would never ever cut my tresses into. Not because it's ugly, but I wouldn't have the guts for it. After starring at her blog everyday, I finally decide that maybe I should give blogging a go. "The Sour Cherry" may no longer exist, but I'm quite happy with the fact that Carol has decided to start blogging again!! welcome back to blogger dear :) and thank you for inspiring me to be a part of this wonderful blogging world..

and yesss.... i finally got to meet up with her ! we took turns taking each other's photos.. ate vietnamese food for dinner (got to hungry that I forgot to take food photos).. later on we found that we love sour food, which is uncommon amongst my friends.. anything with lemon/mango is good for us..
