fifteen-feb

I miss wearing hats so I decided to wear it for the photos. I want to go out with this, but Jakarta isn't a hat-ty city. Nobody wears hats unless it's those trucker caps the pizza hut delivery guy puts on. This is why I don't like living here. Anyhow, I'm happy enough that I can wear it in the comfort of my own house, but I felt like something was missing when I took it out before I went out of the house.

this draped jacket was given by the lovely people at Velvet. do check out more of their collection at www.shopatvelvet.com ! they've really nice effortless-chic pieces that won't break your bank account.

3
infused some color into my look with this blue cropped top (I'm finally making friends with the colored pieces in my wardrobe now!)

jacket c/o velvet, forever21 blue crop top, topshop high waisted satin shorts, diy-ed flower hat, hermes jige clutch, zara boots.

don't worry about how other people think about your style. if you always care about their opinion, you will forever be their prisoner. :)
that hat is gorgeous and yes, your look was less feminine without it. you DO have the perfect clutch and boots, though :)

Yes, it's a shame about the way people don't experiment enough with fashion in Jakarta. It's true, now that I think about it no one really wear hats :/ But I think this is also because there are no where to really walk around in Jakarta? Shame :(

Love this look so much though! Your style is always so inspiring :)
Thanks for the comment in my blog too! I really appreciate it!

love the looseness and flowiness of the jacket. it's really casual where i live, too...so it's hard to be "fashionable" without getting all the who-does-she-think-she-is and where-does-she-think-she's-going looks! really love the hat. i just bought several floppys even though i won't get to wear them much!

I always thought that people in Jakarta are fashion forward because you have a great community that supports a lot of bloggers unlike in the Philippines, in Cebu where some of us are not yet recognize and we usually get bad stares if we dress up on a normal day hahahaha!!!

I feel for you love...and yes the colorful get up is perfect...I love the purse and the hat...
