Doc Mart Alternates
just a couple of quick shots before I started my Monday 2 days ago.. wasnt a too bad Monday at all :)
wearing giant shades to cover those dodgy under eye circles..
wishdrobe top, mom's vest, random piled necklaces, topshop leather pants, boots from China
these boots have traveled with me to quite a lot of places.. I tend to think them as my own version of Doc Marts.. I like the fact that they're not as retro as doc marts but they do have their own spunk.. plus i dont think anybody else has them !

here are some photos i snapped over the course of the week.. I thought I'd share some favorites :)

im thinking of getting myself either the 50mm f1/8 or 85mm f1/8 lenses for my camera. Have done some research, and people say these two lenses are fantastic for portraits with bokeh, blurry backgrounds. If you have any inputs, please tell me in the comments :)

The other half just bought a 50mm lense (i think) to do all the blurry background stuff. Its really good but you still have to fill with the settings.

Get the 50mm lens Michelle. I prefer the 50mm to the 85mm. I normally use a 50mm 1.4 lens for my bokeh shots. But the 1.8 is good too.

I use canon too and just got 50mm f/1.8 for my birthday.
I really recommend it for you. It's one of my favorite lens :)
You can create a great "depth of field" with that lens, plus the picture will be really sharp, because it's a prime lens.
My photographer friend told me, once you master the 50mm lens, your photo result will be beyond average :)

I would prefer 85mm, tried and tested hunnie, 50mm is a lil bit awkward to be near to the subject re: portraits, don't mind for still life though...but then again it's still your choice :)
