MINUS SEVEN

For about 80% of my friends, a party or dinner invitation means a great excuse to dress up, head to the hair salon, and to get some pretty makeup on. As for me, I was a part of the 80% number. But now? I've turned into a lazy arse when it comes to curling irons and eyeshadow palettes. If you read Garance Dore's "10 Degres de Sophistication", my level has dropped from an 8 or 9 into a 5 (minus the messy bun part as my hair is pretty easy to tame without much labor anyway) for the weekends. and if I got nothing important to do, I would drop to a level 4. These photos represent that "level 4 weekend", as I like to call it now. No makeup, a breezy tank dress, and a pair of sunglasses to hide under... oh, and the hat would be a nice add-on if I lived somewhere outside indonesia (with the exception of bali..)





When one of those 'Level 4' weekend kicks in, colored contacts always come in handy. Dopey eyes transform into bright pairs at a pinch. Having a myopic degree of minus 7.00, it's highly impossible for me to see properly without aid. But since I'm not a fan of prescribed glasses, contacts have always been the solution for me. I started switching to softlens in 7th grade and I've been hooked since. No burden during sweaty Phys Ed classes, clear vision with goggles in the pool, and most importantly, no Ugly Betty look [note: i had braces back then]. I used to stray away from colored contacts as most of them made me look as if my eyes were looking into wonky directions. Not with these Freshlook Pairs though.. Somehow they're a great fit to my mini asian eyes and the edges blend nicely with my brown eyes, hence a more natural effect..
