TOP OF THE CROP

It was the Balenciaga show the other day and I remember someone tweeting that so many guests showed up in star wars sweaters (that someone might have been Bryan Boy). After a more comical & sci-fi approach to this year's fall collection, Nicolas Ghesquiere went for a cleaner & fresher take for Balenciaga's Spring 2013 runway. White, black, and khakis dominate the runway while different textures of fabrics and unexpected details give the collection a more unique feel.



cropped tops are the bomb for next year's spring trend. There goes another trend that A) wont't flatter my body type no matter how much I like it.. B) not exactly appropriate & polite for the Indonesian norms... Therefore, I don't have to cut my bubble tea intake & work those abs like how the all Fashion-Week goers tweeted about..

this is my best bet of working the tiny top look in this country..

from peplums to sleeves to asymetric skirts, this sea wave-like fluted details were prominent throughout the collection. I'm also liking the formal dress and casual oxford heels styling.

Paris' runways has reminded me alot of the little mermaid. From Dior's sheeny fabrics that reflect the glimmering sea (we'll discuss about that in a different post).. to these gold crowns that remind me of poseidon and coral reefs...
