BEING 20
Before January ends, I had to get my hands working on this remix post of 2012. I love it when bloggers compile their old posts into one (and I do hope that you enjoy mine as well!) and even if this didn't get uploaded quite at the right time, collecting all the photos and links ready for tonight allowed me to not only remember all the great memories from 2012 but it also made me thankful of all the great opportunities I came across. As cheesy as it sounds, I simply can't be any happier with my loves, family, dogs, and yep : job.. I might not post so much in 2012 but I did notice that I am applying the 'quality not quantity' term better nowadays. Thank you to everyone who has been with me for the past years and I hope that I could bring even more quality content in 2013! Cheers !
ps. if you'd like to see the full post, the links are right below each photos :) if they've got extra caption, then the links will be underlined for your convenience

ON ROUTE : JAVA TO BALI
As always with holiday posts, better late than never! Having no stable connection and postponed photoshoot dates throughout the flood made me able to focus on the photo editing of my road trip from Jakarta to Bali in December/January (you can check out my route here). This trip was definitely memorable. Not only did I visit new cities throughout Indonesia, but this was also my first time doing a road trip in my own mother country. It was clearly a difference experience from previous road trips I've done overseas. I wouldn't exactly say the roads are better.. just to name a few 'obstacles' I encountered : giant road holes, duck crossing the road during while riding at 100km/h in the middle of the night, riding on a boat where the captain of the ship crashed into the deck and other ship THREE times -I thought I was gonna sink into the water seriously-, and more. But nevertheless, I still had a great time ! Like with all travels, sometimes it's the crazy and scary moments that make it memorable and worthwhile.
3000-ish kilometers (Jakarta - Denpasar - Jakarta) may sound little if you're driving around Europe, but that amount took us all a total of 13 days to get through. 13 remarkable days actually.. There were days when we drove from dawn to dusk (correction : most on-the-road days actually..) and some days where we just slacked off with the room service. I'll write more as the pictures come out below :) Who knows maybe some of you might grab the GPS and start your own road trip for your next vacation !

RED THOUGHTS
The Jakarta flood has been keeping me at home today. I am grateful enough that my home itself is flood-free, electricity running and my internet has just come to life this afternoon ! Since my appointments were all cancelled, I managed to catch up with a lot of browsing (for fun and work) on my phone and I just happened to take a look at See by Chloe's Pre-Fall 2013 lookbook.
I have no idea when this lookbook was first published but it did change my vision on the color red. I'm not exactly picky for colors, but I've never really been a fond of red throughout my life (except the good ol' red nail or lips). I have some red stuff in my possession, but they're rarely my favorite item. On the other hand, whoever styled the See by Chloe lookbook made me want to try to pile up any red pieces I got in my closet and create that monochromatic look. Many times I see the color being used in a sexy manner but this whole nonchalant french girl take is just refreshing.

FESTIVES
Just because the festive season is out doesn't mean that I can't post my christmas/new years dinner outfit eigh? Since my friends and I have different plans throughout the year end holidays, we usually have the big gathering before everyone leaves. I skipped on dresses and took out my shiny/blinged pieces and red lipstick instead for the night.
BRIGHT ADD ONS
As usual with holidays.. It's always hard for me to make proper outfit photos ( or perhaps I am the real picky prick when it comes down to my own photos LOL). So yes, you guessed it.. These photos were shot in my hometown. I am currently in Batu, Malang (east Java). and instead of going out, I have decided to stay in my room, turn the tv on and just enjoy the fresh air (and uhmm... blog this post). I haven't been able to relax much like this throughout 2012 so this is something I could really use.
Back to the outfit! With the uncertain weather in Jakarta and my jam-packed schedule in December, I'd say that dresses are the safest bet for me to transition from this event to that. This printed one from PICNIC was an instant love. The color packed prints is real pretty on it's own but I've decided to play up the colors even more by adding bright accessories and shoes !
