TOP OF THE CROP

It was the Balenciaga show the other day and I remember someone tweeting that so many guests showed up in star wars sweaters (that someone might have been Bryan Boy). After a more comical & sci-fi approach to this year's fall collection, Nicolas Ghesquiere went for a cleaner & fresher take for Balenciaga's Spring 2013 runway. White, black, and khakis dominate the runway while different textures of fabrics and unexpected details give the collection a more unique feel.

ANASTASIA

I'm in the middle of a pile of photos that are waiting to be editted. These shots happen to be one of them. They are some photos from my test shoot with Anastasia @ Posh. Isn't she amazing? I'll post the whole lookbook when I'm done.

FAR FROM BLACK

It's easy to stereotype photographers as the ones wearing all black and have a huge gear hanging down the neck. From movies to real life events, most of us grew up with that image planted in our minds. However, as for today, baggy black attire is far from what some photographers opt for. Today we round up five stylist shooters whom you can expect to put on some loud & bright prints and a pair of fancy boots on.

POLKADOT LISAS

This post represents an ideal weekend for me. Quick mini-brunch and coffee at 11 followed by a fulfilling lunch at 1 with a group of friends or family of course. I simply enjoy the moments where I don't need to think about any of work/projects despite the fact that I really love my job. Thank you Hana for helping me with the outfit shots !

CHANGE IS GOOD

To make it up for my lack of posting, there 18 photos ! Well actually the situation was more like this... My assistant is still under training when it comes to using the camera. Hence, I take a tripod and have her fire the shutter (or I click the remote to get specific shots) and since I have been spoiled by Christy's presence for almost a year, I need to get my self-portrait neurons back in action.. And by that, I mean taking more photos than usual. Hence, I had too much frames that I couldn't bother narrowing down the selections furthermore.

You will notice that I don't keep the same accessories on me at all times (hat & sunglasses for this case). I tried to keep the hat on throughout the shoot but it was too hot and I could only last 10 shutters (..or 20 quick ones) before I sweated like a pig. There was also the sun that came out of a sudden and from what I have experienced, squinting and teensy asian eyes don't go well.. some improvisations throughout was definitely needed. Perhaps I should make a post on how I really change up accessories on a day-to-day basis..

COLLARS

Yes I am alive ! No, I still can't manage to finish the editing of the rest of this outfit photos (I haven't even sort and choose).. I finally got home early today and I was able to shoot my outfit. Giving you all a little sneak peek for tonight..

RUSSIA & FERRAGAMO FNO

Honestly speaking, I didn't take notice of Ferragammo's Fall collection when it first debuted during spring. But, when one of style icons, Miroslava Duma, posted a behind the scene image of her Ferragamo booties on her Instagram, my curiosity rose to an extend that I kept googling until I reached my destination (thanks to traffic, I had about 45 minutes).

For this year's Fashion's Night Out in New York, Ferragamo has worked with streetstyle photographers' most-wanted, Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova and Anya Ziourova to be the brand's co-host for the night. After all, their fall collection is inspired by the Russian history where references to the Czar's military suit and gypsy boat-neckline peasant blouses were prominent. The Coveteur team went behind-the-scenes as these Russian stylish clads glammed up for the photoshoot and the soireé in the evening.

My internet came on just in time for me to post these pictures up! Also, this is probably one of the few times I'm posting the man's work behind the lens. My hubby shot these when we were waiting to picked up. I am currently trying to put together a post on New York Fashion Week. It is, after all, one of my favorite spring seasons to date !

DOUBLE VOLUME

I may not have fashion week anywhere on my agenda (except for checking style.com's app before bed), but my schedule for september is already looking pretty crazy. With no assistant, I'm resorting back to my good old tripod and remote days. These photos were taken after a whole day of errands. Therefore, please mind the tired face..

GARDENS

I'm sad to admit that this is one of the last sets of photos that my assistant, Christy, captured for me. After almost a year being my PA, she'll be leaving out of the country to continue her studies. I wish her the best of luck !
Of course, since I am currently assistant-less for the moment (my new one doesn't work until next week), I am a little behind with my outfit photos and a pile of other blog-related work. Nevertheless, I'm excited to share today's post because one : I loved the way the photos turned out. two : it was a good 2nd day hair. three : loved my pink detachable peplum pencil skirt !
