YELLOW MELLOW

After 6 dry clean attempts from different dry cleaners across Jakarta, I successfully got rid of the funny smell that lingered on this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious vintage Valentino skirt. I bought the skirt in Milan last year at a vintage store that I forgot to jot down for a *possible* next visit. Brought it back to my hometown and got it shortened just above my knees. I think some girly mood struck me that morning when I put together this outfit...

THE MANE

I'm in Singapore now and *trying* to be one dedicated blogger, I have managed to schedule some posts that will go live during the weekend just incase if I don't have any time to post or the internet to post.. this is a little sneak preview of tomorrow's outfit. Since I've already completed my camera equipment post, I'm thinking of doing another tips & trick type of write up on my hair.. particularly this wavy style. My schedule seems to look more 'relaxing' in the beginning of May and I figured it's a good time to switch the video mode on the camera again! have a great weekend...

I am very happy that from time to time I get featured from different medias all over the world. Most are good but only few of them left more impressions than others. One of them was the interview by WhatIWear.com. Not only was I pleased to see the nice layout, but I was pleased to see how those visuals show how much me and my blog has grown. The interview also reminded me of the great experiences I should be grateful and thankful of : a loving hubby, a great family, my carrier and my Lord who has made all of this possible. MUST LOVE DOGS

I wished that parks (..instead of the many malls) here existed so that I could take my Hugo and Simba for a walk every afternoon. Not only I can spend time with my dogs, I might just as well loose some belly fat. I made it seem as if I dog-walked in heels and boucle shorts, but I didn't. Perhaps I would if I lived overseas. Hugo was barking loudly with his big doe eyes as I head for the door and I couldn't leave him just like that. So I took him with me for a little outfit photo session.

I HEART FLOWERS

It was surely a great and fast week for me.. and happy equals to brighter, anti-depressing colors on my clothes. If you ask, I felt like combining an outfit for my 4 year old cousin with this much pastels on my body. Floral pants was one item I've been on a hunt since months ago. Zara had them but they are everywhere, and they also don't fit me well at all. Anything that fits poorly on my figure is a definite no. I was excited when I saw these pair pop out on Romwe. The greyish-beige base and muted pastel flowers are a perfect fresh take on the floral pants trend. Even though I don't like buying bottoms from brands that I've never tried for their sizing, my friend had convinced me that the cut should be fine on my figure. and they did !

TABLETOP

I just got home from work and I can't wait to meet my pillow and play a bit of Ice Age on iPad. I can't believe that I am going back into my old gaming freak days.. Here's a little casual outfit from last weekend shot by Christy of course...

THE JOKER

I have had this Miu Miu joker dress for almost a third of a decade now but don't think I have shown it on the blog ever. My mom has always been a Prada/Miu Miu fan but I couldn't understand why until I saw this collection. It was THE collection that made me love Miucia Prada very much up until this day. I am not sure if this dress should be called a 'dress' or 'tunic' on me. Clearly, I am not blessed with a 175cm figure so I found that the best solution is to wear shorts or stockings with the Joker...

BRIGHT DAYLIGHT

sunny weather calls for a simple cotton dress and nothing else. I was surveying some locations that day so I needed functional clothing. and by that, I mean.. lots of storage ! Okay the bag might be tiny for the amount of storage I exaggerated in the last sentence. However, this dress came with huge pockets (something that all dresses should have when possible) in the middle and I could store my phone and other flat items in it. Of course, my books and gadgets go into the other bags that I stash at the back of the car..

HECTIC

One of my outfits from this week. The weather has been funny (..again) and it gave me bad sore throat and flu last night. I'm glad that I am feeling better now but with work pilling and the flu slowing me down, I didn't have the time to complete the photos for this post. One photo and the rest coming in tomorrow !

TECH SAVVY

It seems like everyone had a good stalk at my cluttered bag last time and now.. I'm going to give you a stalk inside my "camera bag". Yes, the post that I've been pending for about a year or so is finally online. Read on for the photo-related gadgets I use for my blog. On a note, I CAN shoot in heels but don't get the wrong image that I wear heels on a full day photoshoot ;)

VOBEE

One of my favorite trends this season is the idea of combining neutrals with blinding hues. I thought that this is much of a better way of wearing colors as opposed to the 'thrown in 4 shades at once' trend from last year. Some time ago, I discovered an Indonesian brand called Vobee. Founded in mid 2011, I find that Vobee has done a great job of compiling a collection that's fashion forward yet timeless (.. and wallet friendly) at the same time. From flattering teal shift dresses to neutral boxy jackets, everyone can attempt to wear color(s) from the pieces in Vobee's collection. In my case, I opted for a bright red and yellow piece but kept the rest of the outfit within the neutral zone to keep the color blocking to a minimum.

I WANT CANDY

Remember Aaron Carter's I Want Candy song from ten years ago? Well, that's exactly what my head started repeating when I saw this editorial online. British-based makeup artist Karla Powell teamed up with talented lens-man Ryan Handy to bring this wonderful retro mod beauty editorial to life. This may not be the typical Easter bunny post, but... Any pastel-related work will do right? ;) HAPPY EASTER LOVES !!

GOOD FRIDAY

Good to be reunited with this old DIY project of mine. The great thing about those patches is that they're removable and they don't require tearing or snipping your jeans. It's a long weekend and I am using this holiday to catch up with some sleep and quality family time. Boyfriend jeans and large sweaters seemed like my perfect wardrobe for this sort of occassion. APRIL SHOWERS

I tried more print mixing today by combining tweed and floral prints. I thought the sun would come out.. but as the day unfolds dark clouds started coming into my direction and mid-way through the shoot it drizzled once again. Since it's now April, I can actually put 'april showers' on my title as opposed to March Showers on my previous posts.

TIMEKEEPERS

after the ring party, necklace party, arm party... now comes the watch party! Majority of the people in this world will think that you're nuts when you have two watches on one arm (especially when like me, both of the watches aren't set to the correct time). but hey, fashion does not always equal to function.
