HELPING HAND

I haven't introduced you to this lovely lady who has been lending me a hand for a while..Say Hi to my new assistant/intern, Christy! If you haven't noticed, alot (..or even all?) of my outfit photos for the past month have been labelled 'photos by Christy'. Work has been piling up and having Christy around was a huge help. I'm off for some baking & cooking now with my family now.. Till' New Years then!

TAKE YOUR CHANCES

Now, we all have dreams don't we? Perhaps they might not be as big as Winston Churchill's of creating peace within the European nations back during the World War, but we do dream of being that 'special someone' right? The other night, I was reading through the Bible and I came to this phrase in Luke 14:18 (KJV). It said : 
"And they all with one consent began to make excuse..."
Before you start thinking that this is post is some-sort of bible-related-christians-only-thing, it's NOT. In fact, I think anyone including atheists could apply this to their lives.

SILENT NIGHT

this year's Christmas in 11 pictures. No fancy dinners or anything, purely good times with friends and family. some of my readers told me that my blog photos took a long time to load, so I tried reducing the quality a bit for this post. I don't quite the grainy jpeg results of it though. do leave me your thoughts/comments on this image quality thing. do you prefer longer-to-load-but-better pics or these faster-but-lower-quality pics?

HO HO HO !!!

This was one of my last projects in 2011. There was one preview image that I posted here and these are the rest of the photos. I don't usually photograph kids commercially, but when one of the moms proposed me this Christmas idea, I thought I'd it a shot anyway. Tell you what, these four kiddos aren't super-easy to work as it seems. One cries, the other cries, and all four cries.. Then we tossed those tiny yellow and red balls, and the next thing we found out all four of them were 'fighting' for the balls. Nevertheless, it was a fun filled day at the studio with these munchkins and their moms & nannies.

I've been stealing this vest from Brian for quite awhile.. I find that the oversize fit is actually perfect on me. plus he only wore this once in Europe anyway and he swears that he doesn't ever want to wear vests anymore.. Busy busy days coming ahead ! so blog updates might slow down a little..

AWKWARD LENGTH

I'm sorta loving shorts in this awkward length at the moment. Right I've only got these ones from NINE-TWELVE and a black pair. They're long enough to prevent any pervs glancing through my butt during elevator rides but they're breezy enough for the tropics. I'm sure that there'll be more bermudas coming into my wardrobe.. or perhaps I could diy them with an old pair of pants? well who knows.. These printed ones come with an elastic waistband so it's another plus point when my stomach inflates after lunch.

WINTER WONDERLAND

God knows how much I crave for a wintry weather. This is exactly what I picture myself wearing in the cold. Well, I might switch the pointed YSLs for these Elizabeth & James suede beauties instead when it's too chilly to go semi-bare-footed.

THE LUCKY BARGAIN

here's a little story to this zara tweed jacket. One weekday after a lunch, I went for a quick stroll to Zara and there I saw this Chanel-esque jacket. The moment I saw it, the moment I knew that the jacket will be mine. Sad when I discovered the outerwear, my driver was already at the lobby waiting for me to hop in the car for the next meeting. I remember I was super busy that month that I never got the chance to rethink about the jacket. about two months later, during another after-lunch mall stroll, I found the jacket in my size, hanging in the final sales rack in 1/3 of it's original price.. talk about a lucky bargain..

GREENWHICH

Here's my 2nd edition of my 'white shirt' series. Paired it with burgundy bottoms last time, and pairing it with colored pants now. Speaking of the holiday season, I thought that it's probably a good time to take these green bottoms out. In fact, this was one of my 1-min-monday-morning attires. I was bored of my white shirt & black pants combo so I switched it up with colored alternatives. Brought out the green color furthermore by wearing this ipad sleeve from pro.tech.teur.
