KENZO PAGODON

Despite the gloomy and gray weather on Thursday, Kenzo managed to pull up a show filled with colors and excitement. I even wore my new orange-pinkish pants for that day. Honestly, I didn't even know what a Pagodon was (I thought it was some sort of Dinosaurs species) until I received the invites. These nifty bucket-style bags were inspired by East Asian and Japanese elements and they were first introduced in 1998. Kenzo's creative director, Antonia Marras, gave these bags a unique touch by using different kinds of ornaments and fabrics.

saw this lady who wore a floral printed jumpsuit with a black blazer and a matching pagodon bag. I couldn't help but snap a candid shot even though I failed a million times due to the amount of people passing by. She actually convinced me to switch the typical floral print summer dresses for a pair of these. Not sure if I can pull it off like she did, but I guess I can evolve by trying out the black jumpsuit first.

this one is my absolute favorite ! it's got that black-swan quality.. and the green highlights of the feather is really pretty

i hate a penchant for anything furry. this bag reminds me of the Mongolians..

like these Pagodon bags? Well if you're in Jakarta, you can visit the exhibition at the Plaza Indonesia atrium (Next to Louis Vuitton) for yourself while they'll still there.

oh.my.god. the pagodons are to die for! i love it when designers could involve cultural aspects in their designs, especially when they're all modernized and unique. would love to own one of them. my faves are prolly the first, and the second, ... and the fourth >.<
