Bankrupt Before Christmas

ENTER MY BLOG GIVEAWAY IF YOU HAVEN'T ! HAND MADE SCARF BY ME FOR THE 2 LUCKY WINNERS ! http://bit.ly/6ofv6B

okay my blog title sorta represents my current state. I overspent the past 2 weeks ever since my holidays started . I pretty much went to malls everyday, and i always walk out with shopping bags. I gotta stop this habit or my dad will kill me.

Sooooooo in accordance with this 'recession' I guess it's best for me to work with what I already have in my closet . And today I will be dedicating this post to this topic by posting a fashion tip on reworking your closet :D

For me and alot of girls, shoes is something I can't simply resist. I can actually buy another black shoe even if the only difference is leather and suede (which is something you can't really tell from far). So in this time around, I guess I think to 'customize' my current shoes. BUTTT, I'm the type of person who can't stand looking at things in my closet being ripped, cut, dyed, or whatever. I always think that what if I miss that piece I have ? I can never get that piece back to its original state. You might be thinking, how would I rework my shoes without actually DIY-ing ? Well, I actually just got addicted to this new thing I'm doing and i like to call it "temporary perks"..

You actually have seen me doing this for the past outfits . Like the one I did for Jumping for Jumpsuits and the Grazia Launching Party. And I guess, you'll be seeing me doing more of this ! :D

the shoe transition with the magic of bracelets, headbands, and necklaces :D i love the studs and cross ones VERY much !

I do also agree: in this "hard times" it's best to recycle what we already own, get vintage stuff and create diy!

Michelle,

We are so similar! I can never bare to do any DIY projects on anything I own in case I might 'need' that item later and then I wouldn't be able to return it to its original state. I also like to buy lots of things, including shoes. I had to put myself on a spending limit, haha, just to feel better. I just want you to know I like these non-invasive DIY projects for shoes, especially the one with the cross necklace, etc. If you wait around and save up there will be tons of new stuff around the corner. In fashion there always is...

What a great way to reinvent your shoes closet. I really like the idea of wearing necklace pieces around your ankles to add a little something an ordinary pair of black shoes! Great idea. I feel so inspired.

And I'm feeling broke this holiday season too. I can't shop anymore, so I'm forcing myself to work with what I have.

And congrats on two more blog awards, Michelle! That's really awesome.

Thank you so much for following my blog. I really appreciate it. I hope I make it to 100 followers on day :) Hope you have a good weekend.
